Dubai, June 13th 2016 – Seven Seas has announced the appointment of Ole Gulsvik as CEO of Seven Seas Group, with immediate effect.
Ole has more than 15 years of experience in international markets and a proven background with regards to improving business units, uniting corporations towards a common goal of profitability and market leadership. He has previously held the position of CFO, when Seven Seas was publically listed at the Oslo Stock Exchange and known as EMS Seven Seas ASA and was responsible for rebuilding and executing the group’s turn around, leading to its acquisition by the current ownership.
Most recently, Ole was responsible for managing key growth initiatives across the different branches, whilst continuing to be part of the Senior Executive team.
Following this appointment, Theo Reichert, current interim CEO, will step down from his position, whilst continuing to act as external consultant to Seven Seas until the end of the year. “After several months looking for the right candidate, I am very pleased with this announcement. I have worked with Ole very closely over the past months, and I am confident that his ambition and hard work will take Seven Seas further on its exciting journey. I am very confident on the future of the business and I wish Seven Seas and Ole all the best” said Theo Reichert.

Recently, Seven Seas also enhanced its Senior Executive team with the appointment of Soren Gjessing for the role of General Manager, Singapore.
In addition to a solid background in Ship Supply, Soren has worked for Abena International and Hummel and most recently UTG in Istanbul, Turkey. He holds an International MBA from the Business Institute Aalborg and speaks Danish, English, Spanish and German fluently.
These appointments reinforce Seven Seas presence as a leader in the ship supply and maritime services industry and enhance its positioning for growth in strategic geographical locations.
